Izhevsk, Neftegaz.RU. The oil companies of Udmurtia in 2018 produced 10.533 million tons of oil - 2.4% less than in 2017.

In 2017, 10.817 million tons of oil was produced in Udmurtia, which is 1.9% lower than in 2016. The reasons for the decline were the significant depletion of reserves and the high water content of the main fields

The Ministry of Economics of Udmurtia in October 2018 predicted that in 2018 the volume of oil production will decrease by 3.4% to 10.45 million tons. The ministry also predicted a decrease in oil production by 2021 by at least 6.6% to 10 million tons.

The base forecast contains more pessimistic oil production figures. According to the base case, the decline in oil production in 2021 is forecast to 10 million tons (92.4% compared to 2017).

According to calculations Minpromtorga Udmurtia in 2019 oil production decrease 4.3%, which will affect the decrease in volume of products shipped and accordingly slowing GRP growth.

At the moment, the major oil companies in Udmurtia are are - UdmurtNeft, a joint venture of Rosneft and Sinopec and Belkamneft subsidiary. The share of these companies accounts for about 95% of the total production in the country. In 2017, oil companies reassessed oil reserves and reduced their planned extraction rates, taking into account the natural depletion of natural resources.
